Hi, I’m Rameesha!

I am a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor and hold a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Home Economics, Lahore, Pakistan.

Since childhood, I have always had a very simple relationship with food. I liked simple, home-cooked foods, and loved seeing color on my plate. Outside food was never very appealing. I liked feeling good, so it wasn’t a chore for me to eat well.

So when I was completing my Master’s in Nutrition, it was very second nature to me. I enjoyed every class, apart from Food Chemistry (IFYKYK). When I came to the US I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the same field and started exploring the different nutrition careers here. That’s when I came upon the field of functional nutrition via the Functional Nutrition Alliance and Andrea Nakayama. The idea of finding the root cause of people’s health conditions and treating it with food, habit change, and understanding our relationship with food filled me with wonder. When I studied functional nutrition, I realized that about 70% of what we feel is related to our gut!!

I made a conscious effort to avoid buying certain products, without strictly banning anything from my kitchen. Now my family and I enjoy real ingredients and real taste.

Now I’m a mom of 2, and I want them to have good, healthy, and happy relationship with food without all the guilt and cancel culture!
